We’re going to try something. Here’s what I need you to do:
- Go round up those TBR (to be read) books you’ve been collecting. The ones on the shelf, in the pile by the couch, and in the box under your desk.
- Stack all the books in one tall column.
- Take your shoes off.
- Stand next to the stack.
Is the stack of books as tall as or taller than you are? If so, you’ve earned the “you must be this tall to read” merit badge.

Okay, I want to know if I earn this badge, but I don’t own all of the books in my TBR pile. I’m broke, so I keep my TBR pile on Goodreads. Then when I finish a book, I use a random number generator to decide what to read/buy next.
Pardon me while I go calculate book thinknesses.
@Jesso: Good point. Those of you with digital TBR piles or e-readers may need to do a little math.
