Professional liar.

Merit badge: pants on fire

Ah, fiction writing.

How many other careers allow you to make a living via untruthfulness?

Okay, so there’s actually quite a few and many of them pay more.

But how many of those are as well-respected?

All right, it depends on who’s in charge of the ranking.

But the people who don’t respect it? You’re fully prepared to tell them you make your living as a dental hygienist.

You didn’t earn the “professional liar” merit badge for nothing.

This is part of the merit badges for writers series, and may be posted on your site or blog. Have you earned this badge? Will you never earn it? Tell us why in the comments.

Why does looking at this badge make me want to say something like, “I’m rubber, you’re glue…”?

@Casey: I did it to myself, too. I don’t even remember when that show began airing due to my fairly strict “if it’s a clown, keep flipping” policy.

Why do you have to be so dangerous, Google?
